So...I think this is Cherry. The tree looks like a cherry but the wood much paler than any other Cherry I've seen. It comes from our next door neighbours' garden, and has so far travelled only 15m from where it grew.
Drop spindle hand turned in Yorkshire, finished with wax. Price includes free postage in the UK.
